My name’s David Stoeltzing, concert flautist and private flute instructor. Here you’ll find recordings, a calendar of my upcoming performances, a blog where I’ll be sharing some of my best flute tips and secrets, and information on private lessons. I hope you enjoy!
ABOUT DAVID STOELTZING
Biography
David B. Stoeltzing graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance degree at Liberty University, and recently completed his Master in Flute Performance degree at Lee University. His teachers include Bonnie Kim (Christopher Newport University), Kathy Daniels (Virginia Symphony Orchestra), Alycia Hugo (Roanoke Symphony Orchestra), and Kristen Holritz (Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra).
He served as principle flautist and soloist in the Liberty Symphonic Orchestra, the Liberty Wind Ensemble (with which he toured extensively), the Liberty Honors Wind Quintet, Lee Symphony Orchestra, Lee Wind Ensemble, and has performed professionally in the pit orchestras for She Loves Me, Little Women, Il Pagliacci, South Pacific, Oliver!, and The Mikado. In the summer of 2018, he attended the MasterWorks Music Festival in Cedarville, OH, performing in a master class with Bonita Boyd of the Eastman School of Music.
He was awarded Instrumentalist of the Year in both his Junior and Senior years at Liberty University, and received the prestigious Virtuoso and Artist of the Year awards during graduation proceedings. He and his husband Debajit have resided in Kent, WA since early 2020.
